Iran village hosts storks on migratory route

Darreh Tefi village in the Iranian province of Kurdistan plays gracious host to storks, providing long-distance migratory birds with all they need to make nests during their stay.

A few years back, just one pair of storks had a stopover in the village along their migratory route.

In recent years, due to the hospitable residents of the village, the number of storks staying in Darreh Tefi has risen.

The storks stop in Darreh Tefi on their route to the warmer climates of Saudi Arabia.
